I've acquired a lovely case of IBS as a result of the Norovirus you're reading about every day in the paper now. After 5-6 days of hell, I went looking for a solution and found this. It's worked for me. I feel much much better. The first 3-4 days were uncomfortable (symptoms worsened but I knew to expect this) but when you get through that, the relief is worth it. The cost doesn't bother me. When you're doubled over in pain, $1 a day to make it stop seems mighty attractive.
Stomach Acid Rocks! This wonderful book got me started on a journey that corrected some nasty problems, some of which have nagged me for years! I have had asthma since youth but it has worsened in the past two years. Two years ago I developed periodic bouts of hoarseness, phlegm buildup in my throat shortly after eating, a constant post nasal drip and a feeling of some sort of gas creeping up into my trachea about 30 minutes after eating. A trip to an ENT doctor resulted in a diagnosis of a form of reflux called LPR or silent reflux. This form doesn't burn your esophagus but wrecks havoc in your sensitive upper respiratory area. The Doc gave me...yes you guessed it Prilosec, an acid reducer. Upon doing my own research on LPR I ran across the works of Chris Kressor and Norman Robillard (Fast Tract Digestion, HESARTBURN, A Revolutionary Diet System to Treat and Prevent Acid Reflux Without Drugs" that attributed reflux to Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), which can be the result of low stomach acid. I did the stomach acid self test and determined I was deficient. I started taking HCL with Pepsin about three months ago and can report no more hoarseness, no more asthma and no more upper respiratory discomfort. Surprisingly, another chronic ailment I have suffered with for decades has also apparently gone away and that is pelvic floor pain. Recent research has identified a connection between pelvic floor pain and SIBO.
This chair is wonderful! - so much better than those annoying enormous high chairs that reach all the way to the ground. and cheaper. It is space saving - stays neatly latched onto our island or table and is immediately usable. Doesn't take up any space. When we go to the grandparents or friends houses for dinner we can toss it in the car and bring it along. It lets her be up with us during our meals without the chair being a pain in the ass.
From using this, and from reading the reviews, I've concluded that, like many things, it simply works well for some people, doesn't work well for others. I've only been using it for about a month, so this is a limited report, but I can say that it works miracles (on me anyway) as far as getting rid of puffiness, "bags" under my eyes - virtually totally erases them within just a few minutes of application. I've also seen some slight improvement in my overall skin color (reducing age spots, redness, etc.). Excellent as a moisturizer. Wrinkles: reduces, but no miraculous vanishing comparable to what it does for bags under the eyes - most effective on the large wrinkles across my neck. Have not noticed tightening or "lifting" along my jaw line (but again, I've been using it less than 4 weeks). Hard to get away from the fact that this product, no matter how good it is, is way overpriced - so much so that I was kind of hoping that it WOULDN'T work at all, so that I wouldn't have to consider spending that much money. I still haven't made up my mind whether I'll continue with it. If it was about half the cost, I'd definitely continue with it to see how it does over a 2-3 month period, but it's really hard to justify spending that much money when you can find comparable quality formulas for much, much less. (Also, claims to be "all-in-one", but it's not since they specifically tell you it's NOT for use over your eyes (upper eyelids).
My husband finally accepted his doctors diagnosis that he has diabetes. So I suggested that he use Goldenseal. He takes 2 a day and this keeps his sugar level down. Golden seal also acts as an antibiotic so it has many uses.
First I have to thank the Amazon reviewers for leading me to this pan. I have and treasure one just like it and despaired of ever finding another. A careful reading of comments about this pan and I realized it is exactly what I was looking for. The reason I love this light weight yet sturdy pan is that I often use it to bake recipes that require me to cut in the pan (i.e. baklava, family sized pizzas), so all of those lovely non-stick coated pans would be quickly ruined if I used them. I have a pan drawer full of brand name non-coated sheets that are heavy gauge combinations of aluminum and steel, but they are not dishwasher friendly (ugly dulling) and "heavy" is no misnomer, they are bulky and heavy. I needed another light weight and dishwasher safe workhorse, and this is it. Now, I have read that some people are very concerned about warping. I won't kid you, I do hear this pan "Ting" in the oven and there is a slight bit of warping. I will attest, however, that I have never had a sheet cake or any other baked good come out of the oven with a crack or any sign that the small amount of warping has harmed the baked good. Finally, I love this pan because I do not have to treat it with kid gloves when it comes to cleaning it. Since it is not a non-stick pan, that baked on cheese will need some soaking and scrubbing before the pan is placed in the dishwasher. I can do "no fear scrubbing" because this pan can take it. Sure, it will quickly lose its youthful mirror like appearance, but a well worn tool is beautiful in its own way.
This bra is perfect. Comfortable! Fits where it should on your body, you won't have to adjust it multiple times a day, like other brands. Just enough padding and doesn't look fake. Washes easily (I hang mine to air dry) and the "form" doesn't get messed up in the laundry. Made durable and is withholding it's construction. I don't wear VS bras anymore. Love Warner's bras!
